Privacy & Email Policy

How Premed protects your information, and exactly which emails we send. Plain words, no fine print.

What we collect

Only what we need to care for you: your name and email address, and, if you become a member, the details you or your care team add to your record. When you write to us through the contact form, we keep your message so we can answer it.

We never sell, rent or trade your information, and we never buy mailing lists.

How we keep it safe

Your information is stored encrypted on Amazon Web Services in the United States. Each Premed organization can only see its own people. Every time someone on staff opens or changes a record, it is written to a log that administrators can review. Premed is built to meet the HIPAA privacy and security rules, and real health records are not stored until every required protection and agreement is in place.

The emails we send

Premed sends only messages you need or asked for. There are exactly three kinds:

  • Sign-in codes. A one-time code when you sign in. We have no passwords.
  • Invitations. Sent only when a Premed staff member personally adds you as a member or team member.
  • Staff alerts. A note to our own staff mailbox when someone uses the contact form. The visitor is not emailed.

We do not send newsletters, advertising or bulk email. If an email to an address bounces or is marked as spam, we automatically stop emailing that address.

Stopping emails

If you get an invitation you didn’t expect, just ignore it: we won’t send another unless a staff member invites you again. To be removed entirely, write to markmcgee85@gmail.com and we’ll take care of it.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time by writing to markmcgee85@gmail.com. Some medical records must be kept for a period the law requires; we’ll tell you if that applies.
